I love Independence Day. Here is a list of things I like to do each 4th of July.Deck out the house in red, white and blue.
Hang the flag outside.
Buy and set off a ton of fireworks.
BBQ
Swim
Crank up Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA."
Wear flag t-shirts from Old Navy.
This year, 4th of July was a little different for my family. I was at Girls Camp in the morning and spent 5 hours driving home. I did wear my flag t-shirt home - so that's one thing off my list. When I got home we did go swimming and BBQed but beyond that I CRASHED. We didn't sleep much at girls camp and it caught up with me around 6PM Friday night. I don't remember EVER being so tired. So, happy birthday America. Sorry we didn't celebrate in style this year. We'll have to double up next year.
For Sunday dinner I made a cool Jell-O flag. It turned out HORRIBLY so I'm posting a picture of my sister's so you can get the idea. Hers turned out much better.
Post Title Song PS - Ann I just noticed we used the same flag for our posts. Funny.
