I will say, sometimes having church at noon is not so bad. Most of my singing time prep is done Sunday morning. I am not typically a procrastinator. But, this calling takes a lot! I have been the ward music coordinator for a few years now and we don't have a primary chorister. So I've been subbing, for years. I love it. I don't usually do games or puzzles like this, it's all about singing, singing, singing. But, sometimes I see a cute idea and go with it. This little guy was a cute addition to a wonderful song about our Heavenly Father.

Vacancy in 1st

Will I teach 1st grade? I am a substitute and I was asked to do a vacancy position for 1st grade for the first few weeks of school. I was told at least until count day. In my head I knew it would be all year. I'm writing this blog after the fact, but this was day one. Day one of, "here's the keys it's yours." I was nervous and excited but mostly so overwhelmed. I am grateful for all the teachers I begged, borrowed and stole from. It did end up being all year and this classroom went from bare bones to an extension of my own home. I loved my classroom. It was mine. It didn't start that way, it took a LOT of work. It almost felt like I finally got it all set up when it was time to pack it back up! I'm sure I'll post more about the school year later, but for now, enjoy a few pictures of day one!

 

July Sunday Pics + Monsoon

The clock is ticking reminding us that we won't have 6 kids at home with us for much longer. I wish time would stop, but at the same time I love the experiences we are having with our growing kids. They are such a joy to parent.
